On June 2nd, during the special "Global Exhibition Day," the Shanghai Exhibition Industry Association, in partnership with IAEE, Tencent Qidian, and WeMeet, successfully hosted a themed salon in the Tencun Tower, Shanghai.
The seminar, themed "Digital Transformation and Innovative Service Models," focused on sharing and discussing the experiences and insights of exhibition and convention companies in their digital transformation processes. The seminar was hosted by Mr. Zhu Jianqing, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Exhibition and Convention Industry Association, and featured enthusiastic participation and engaging discussions from nearly fifty exhibition and convention companies from Shanghai and across the country.
"The Secretary-General of the Shanghai Exhibition and Convention Industry Association, Mr. Kang Jingmin, delivered a speech, conveying the requirements from the Ministry of Commerce's Office to accelerate the transformation and innovation of the exhibition industry, promote the integration of online and offline exhibition development, and Shanghai's comprehensive implementation of its digital transformation. He also emphasized the increasingly important role of internet technology and digital platforms in the exhibition industry, with online enablement becoming a new growth point for the sustainable development of the exhibition industry."
IAEE Global President David DuBois delivered a video address, congratulating all on World Exhibition Day and emphasizing the importance of digital transformation in the exhibition and convention industry. He highlighted that advanced internet and digital technologies will significantly impact the industry's development.
IAEE Asia Committee Chairman, Gu Xuebin, has released the "Global Trends in Digital Exhibition Development Report."
Tencent and WeMeet have jointly launched a tailored business-to-business (B2B) interaction platform specifically designed for the exhibition and convention industry.
During the sharing session, representatives from Donghao Lan Exhibition Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Miao Lan Trade Exhibition Co., Ltd., Frankfurt Exhibition (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., Wan Yao Qilong Group, and the executive committee of the China Beauty Expo, including Chen Hui Feng (President of Donghao Lan Exhibition Group Co., Ltd.), Pan Jian Jun (Chairman of Zhejiang Miao Lan Trade Exhibition Co., Ltd.), Zhou Shao Lan (Deputy General Manager of Frankfurt Exhibition (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd.), Liu Xun (Vice President and Business General Manager of Wan Yao Qilong Group), and Sang Ying (Executive Chairman of the China Beauty Expo), shared their experiences and insights regarding the digital transformation process of their respective exhibition projects.
