Membership Requirements:
According to Article 9, Chapter 3 of the Articles of Association of the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association, the association accepts organization members on the principle of voluntary membership and free withdrawal. Venues approved by relevant national authorities for international conferences and international exhibitions, Shanghai representative offices of overseas conference and exhibition companies, and other legally qualified enterprises and institutions of various economic types engaged in conference- and exhibition-related business may become organization members after acknowledging the association's articles, participating in association activities, accepting work entrusted by the association, paying membership dues on time, submitting a voluntary written application and receiving approval from the association secretariat.
Procedures:
1. Download the membership application form.
2. Complete the form truthfully as required, affix the official seal, and send it together with a copy of the valid business license and a company profile to the Secretariat of the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association, by courier if needed. Address: Room 603, Building L3B, Lane 1588, Zhuguang Road, Qingpu District, Shanghai. Postal code: 200125. Recipient: Chen Linglin.
3. After receiving the materials, the secretariat will review them. If the organization meets the membership requirements, it will be notified to complete the membership procedures.
4. New member organizations need to receive a membership plaque and stand sign. The total cost is RMB 300, reduced from RMB 710 starting July 1, 2024.
5. From 2017 onward, annual membership dues are RMB 3,300 for ordinary member organizations, RMB 8,800 for council member organizations, and RMB 16,500 for vice-president organizations.
6. After completing the membership procedures, new member organizations shall perform their duties in accordance with the association's articles.
