From June 19 to 20, the sixth International Exhibition Industry CEO Shanghai Summit, hosted by the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association, was held at the Royal Tulip Hotel in Zhujiajiao, Qingpu.
The theme of this summit was Transformation and Inheritance: The Next Ten Years of China's Exhibition Industry. Discussions focused on three topics: Market, the wind vane of transformation and inheritance; Government, the booster of transformation and inheritance; and Enterprise, the engine of transformation and inheritance.
Xian Guoyi, director-general of the Department of Trade in Services and Commercial Services of the Ministry of Commerce; Shang Yuying, deputy secretary-general of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government; and Peng Yihao, deputy district head of Qingpu District, attended the summit and delivered remarks at the opening ceremony.
At the opening ceremony, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce appointed 16 leaders of international exhibition organizations, well-known entrepreneurs and industry experts as Shanghai International Advisors for the Convention and Exhibition Industry. China's first exhibition-industry fund was launched, the exhibition-industry white paper was released, and the association signed strategic cooperation agreements with Qingpu District, the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Industry Association, the Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers, and the Center for Exhibition Industry Research in the United States.
