On the afternoon of December 21st, the association successfully held its 32nd exhibition salon, themed "Sharing Experiences and Best Practices from the Canton Fair." Mr. Lu Yi, Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and Mr. Zhang Zheng Yi, Deputy Director of the Qingpu District Bureau of Commerce, attended the salon. Representatives from organizations and member companies involved in the management, venues, organization, exhibition, and services related to the Canton Fair, including the Municipal Exhibition Promotion Center, Xinhu Bridge Company, and the National Exhibition Center, totaled over 30 participants.
The salon was moderated by Association President, Mr. Kang Jingmin. Mr. Kang expressed his gratitude to those working on the Canton Fair, welcomed the attendees, and outlined the purpose and significance of the event. Representatives from participating companies discussed their experiences and insights regarding the inaugural Canton Fair, offering suggestions and recommendations to improve management and services for the second fair. This will provide valuable reference for the development of the Shanghai exhibition industry.
Representatives from the National Exhibition Center, the Municipal Exhibition Industry Promotion Center, Hannover Messe Milano Exhibition Company, Modern International Exhibition Company, and HanYi Language Translation Co. shared their experiences and insights regarding participation in the inaugural China International Import Expo, covering perspectives on venue and organizer, service support, organizer and exhibitors, exhibition engineering, and supporting service enterprises.
During the exchange phase, representatives from organizations such as Lingtong, Hui Exhibition, and Meng Xuan Exhibition, along with their expertise in green exhibition practices, the China International Fair for Advanced Technologies and Innovation (CIF), and convenient services, including documentation and transportation, provided suggestions and insights regarding green exhibition practices, the market-oriented operation of the China International Fair for Advanced Technologies and Innovation, and convenient services.
The Association's former Secretary-General, Mr. Ji Luode, attentively listened to the presentations from representatives of various companies. He emphasized the Association's responsibility to preserve and share these valuable insights. He invited members to contribute, and the Association will compile and publish these experiences, lessons, and reflections in the "2019 Annual Convention & Exhibition Industry Development Report." This content will be beneficial for the development of the China Import and Export Fair and the industry as a whole.
Representatives from the Municipal Commerce Committee Exhibition Department, the Qingpu District Commerce Bureau, and the Xinhu Bridge Business District, along with relevant local service departments, listened to presentations from businesses, understood their needs, and provided insights from the planning, execution, and post-event phases of the China Import and Export Fair, as well as potential optimization strategies for the upcoming fair.
The China International Fair for Advanced Knowledge Application (CIFAKA) has received widespread acclaim and has become a prominent national brand. According to the Director of the Exhibition and Trade Department of the Municipal Commerce Committee, CIFAKA should be viewed as a key opportunity for the exhibition and convention industry to establish itself as a leading international hub and achieve significant industry-wide development. In response to the government's call for innovation, CIFAKA should be leveraged to benchmark against international standards, with a focus on bold and innovative breakthroughs in all aspects.
Finally, Mr. Sang Jingmin, Chairman, expressed his gratitude to all attendees for their generous contributions and open discussions. The association will compile and submit the insights and written materials provided by the attendees to the relevant departments, contributing to the enhanced success of the second China Import and Export Fair, building upon the achievements of the first fair.
