As of the end of last year, Shanghai's main exhibition venues had exhibition areas of 1 million square meters and indoor exhibition areas of 800,000 square meters or more, ranking first in the world.

According to reports, the city's exhibition projects maintain a high level of development in terms of internationalization, marketization, and specialization. In 2015, there were 259 exhibition projects, accounting for 34.58% of the total exhibition projects in Shanghai; the total exhibition area was 10.696 million square meters, an increase of 14.99%, accounting for 70.68% of the total exhibition area in Shanghai.

It is noteworthy that the number of exhibition projects in the city decreased by 2.6% year-on-year in 2015, but the total exhibition area and the average size of projects showed strong growth. Both international and domestic exhibitions experienced double-digit growth, with the domestic exhibition scale growing by more than 26%, while the number of domestic exhibitions decreased by 21, with an average increase of more than 32% per project. In addition, with the comprehensive use of the National Exhibition Center, the exhibition scale in Pudong and Pudong West is gradually balanced. In 2015, the total exhibition area received by the main exhibition venues in Pudong and Pudong West were 7.186 million square meters and 6.168 million square meters, respectively. The convention, which previously accounted for 70% or more of the exhibition area in Pudong, was broken.

At the member meeting yesterday, 10 units, including Donghao Lansheng International Service Trade Group Co., Ltd., were awarded the top 10 exhibition (hosting) institutions; 20 companies, including Shanghai Art and Design Co., Ltd., were awarded the top 20 exhibition and display engineering companies; and 5 companies, including Shanghai New International Expo Center, were awarded the top 5 customer satisfaction.
