On the afternoon of August 23rd, the association's themed salon, "Innovative Development of Conference and Event Activities within Exhibition Projects," was held as scheduled at the Platinum Hotel, World Center, Qingpu, Hongqiao.

The salon was moderated by Association Secretary-General Zhu Jianqing. Attendees included representatives from key venues such as the New International Exhibition Center, the National Exhibition Center, the World Trade Center, the Cross-Border Procurement Exhibition Center, the National Exhibition Center, and the Green Land Hotel Tourism Group, as well as organizers of exhibitions and conferences such as Bohua, Ledex, Zhaio, Gao Mei Ai Bo, Fu Yi, and Kunlun Yifa, 31 Conference, Aolong, Hui Exhibition, Create, Yida, Jing Bridge, Denna, and Exhibition Adult, representing a total of approximately 50 companies providing exhibition and conference support services.

"Association Chairman, Mr. Kang Ming, delivered an opening address, highlighting the positive growth trend of the conference industry in Shanghai, particularly in exhibition-related conferences. He emphasized the potential for professional conference companies to engage in extensive communication and collaboration with exhibition organizers to achieve mutual benefits."
"The Director of the Bureau of Land and Resources, Mr. Zu Zhi, presented a report titled "The Importance of Cartographic Standards in Exhibition Activities." Attendees, including venue and organizer representatives, gained a deeper understanding of the importance of adhering to Chinese cartographic standards and maintaining a professional and respectful approach in promotional materials.

Green Land Hotel Tourism Group, Exhibition Affairs Department, introduced the meeting hotel facilities and the group's exhibition business planning for Green Land Group in Shanghai and other domestic exhibition cities.
Based on the《Shanghai Conference Industry Development Report》prepared at the request of the Association, Mr. Tang Yebin, Vice-Chairman of the Association's Conference and Activity Committee, presented an overview of the current state of the professional conference industry in Shanghai.
Professor Luo Ze-run from the Exhibition College of the School of Foreign Languages, Fudan University, shared his experience and recommendations regarding talent development in the context of market demand within the exhibition and convention industry.
Representatives from companies such as Bohua and Lizhan highly valued the prominent role of the conference activities within the exhibition project, and also expressed their desire to collaborate with professional conference companies.
Attendees from various organizations involved in conference and service provision offered their insights and recommendations, suggesting enhanced communication and collaboration between relevant departments within the Shanghai municipal government, including the Science and Technology Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the Health Commission, and the Department of Culture and Tourism.It is recommended to clearly define the role of the conference activity within the exhibition project.

The seminar featured a dense and comprehensive program, with representatives actively participating and gaining valuable insights.Mr. Sang Jingmin, Chairman, concluded by expressing his satisfaction with the overall success of the event."Furthermore, he highlighted that the Shanghai Exhibition Industry Regulations are nearing completion and will play a positive role in standardizing and promoting the orderly development of the Shanghai exhibition industry, marking a new phase for its growth."
