From March 1st to 4th, the 29th China East China Import and Export Fair (referred to as "China East Fair"), organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, in collaboration with the Municipalities of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, and the Municipalities of Nanjing and Ningbo, will be held in Shanghai.

Since its inception in 1991, the China International Fair for Textile and Garment Industry has spanned 28 years. This year, with a focus on showcasing labor-intensive products such as those from the Light Industry sector, the China International Fair for Textile and Garment Industry has become a key indicator of the direction of Chinese foreign trade in the coming year. The fair has also introduced a "Three-in-One" information marketing platform, effectively integrating "target audience," "platform," and "content," to enhance interaction between exhibitors and visitors, expand the brand influence of the China International Fair for Textile and Garment Industry, and facilitate comprehensive, round-the-clock interaction and communication between the fair, exhibitors, and buyers. The aim is to create a continuously running and impactful China International Fair for Textile and Garment Industry.

The China International Fair focuses primarily on import and export trade, and also facilitates trade negotiations for manufacturing trade and joint ventures/cooperation. To maintain its role as the largest import and export platform in the East China region, the fair will require exhibition areas that closely align with specific industry segments and multi-tiered sales channels, as well as professional buyers. The 29th China International Fair, held in 2019, is projected to occupy 126,800 square meters, an increase of 20,000 square meters compared to the previous year, with over 7,600 standard exhibition booths.
