This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Boao Forum for Asia, which has played a vital role in supporting Asian development. The logistics forum will also adopt the council system of the Boao Forum for Asia and establish a council. The purpose is to ensure that the forum can be held regularly at a fixed time and place, build a platform for governments, enterprises, experts and scholars to discuss issues related to the logistics industry, and create the largest logistics industry event in China and even Asia. At the council launch ceremony, the Boao Logistics Declaration will also be released. It regards the logistics industry as an important strategy for promoting economic development, actively responds to the Belt and Road Initiative, builds a major channel for the strategic development of China's logistics, and continuously enhances the international influence of China's logistics industry.

Highlight Two: Establishing the university logistics alliance

The forum will launch the China University Logistics Alliance, jointly initiated by multiple logistics universities, well-known logistics enterprises and research institutions. The alliance aims to build a collaborative, innovative and interconnected school-enterprise exchange platform for logistics talent in Chinese universities. Through exchange seminars, talent training matchmaking, joint formulation of talent development plans, innovation and entrepreneurship talent development plans, and promotion of business standards, it will connect universities and enterprises to jointly establish logistics talent training bases. It will coordinate in-depth cooperation between logistics universities and enterprises with various logistics talent needs. It will also build an online recruitment platform for the supply and demand of logistics talent and create a direct employment channel for graduates of logistics-related majors. By continuously gathering high-quality resources from logistics universities nationwide in faculty, logistics support, innovation and entrepreneurship offices, and work-study programs, the platform will truly achieve interconnection.

Highlight Three: Launching the logistics industry Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Project

This project was first initiated by Logistics Times Weekly. It is mainly based on the industry situation in which the training of logistics talent at higher education institutions cannot meet the needs of the rapidly developing logistics industry, the level of logistics talent is still not well matched with logistics enterprises, innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities among logistics talent remain insufficient, and senior logistics management talent still cannot meet industry demand. The project will be implemented over ten years, joining 100 universities to train ten thousand senior logistics professionals for 1,000 cities. It will promote a high proportion of output of high-end logistics talent, activate new momentum for logistics development driven by talent, and improve the effective supply of logistics talent. In addition, as a supporting institution of the Boao International Logistics Forum, China Logistics 100, led by Logistics Times Weekly and guided by the purpose of promoting logistics development through wisdom, will invite 100 top experts in the industry.
