From March 2nd to 3rd, a delegation led by Mr. Sang Jingmin, Vice Secretary and Chairman of the Shanghai Exhibition Industry Association, attended the 2023 UFI Asia-Pacific Conference in Malaysia.
Following a period of disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the comprehensive recovery of the Asian exhibition industry is a positive development. However, it also presents unprecedented new challenges.
The 2023 UFI Asia-Pacific Conference brought together nearly 20 experts and industry leaders from around the world to discuss issues such as the return and development of the Asian exhibition market, the situation of the Chinese exhibition industry in 2023, data insights, and new opportunities.
Mr. Sang Jingmin, as Chairman, represented the Shanghai Exhibition Industry Association and introduced the development trends of the Shanghai exhibition industry.
Mr. Sang Jingmin stated that, starting in 2023, the Chinese exhibition industry is comprehensively recovering with vibrant momentum. The continued vitality of the Chinese economy and the Chinese market provide significant opportunities for both domestic and international businesses. As a landmark city for Chinese exhibition economics, the Shanghai exhibition industry is entering a high-quality development track.
Therefore, the 2023 Shanghai Summit will be held in Shanghai from June 19th to 21st, 2023, under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Commerce and with the support of the international exhibition association UFI. The summit will focus on the opportunities and challenges of the global exhibition industry in the post-pandemic era, sharing insights and reflections from the Chinese exhibition industry, and exploring global exhibition innovation service models.
Therefore, Mr. Sang Jingmin cordially invites all colleagues in the global exhibition industry to attend the 2023 International Exhibition Industry CEO Shanghai Summit in Shanghai this June.
During the conference, Mr. Sang Jingmin met with Mr. Zhang Qingxin, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia.
