At the "Accelerating the Development of Convention and Exhibition Destinations in Wuxi" conference held on March 24th, Mr. Chen Xian, Honorary Chairman of the International Exhibitions Association, Director of the National Convention and Exhibition Standardization Technology Committee, and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industry Association, delivered a speech titled "Accelerating the Development of Convention and Exhibition Destinations in Wuxi: Building a New Integrated Convention and Exhibition Landscape for the Yangtze River Delta."

The content, which is both forward-looking and constructively insightful, provided a clear analysis of the exhibition and convention development trends in the Yangtze River Delta region and its major cities, outlining new approaches for future development.

In his presentation, Mr. Chen advanced presented extensive data tables detailing the key characteristics of major exhibition cities in the Yangtze River Delta, including exhibition area, exhibition education, internationalization of exhibitions, and relevant regulations and policies. He provided a detailed analysis of the main advantages and challenges facing the development of the exhibition industry in the Yangtze River Delta. Subsequently, he analyzed the geographical location, economic level, urban ecology, cultural qualities, urban management, and transportation network of Wuxi, a prominent economic city, within the context of the "Trillion Club" in the Yangtze River Delta. He also highlighted successful experiences in Wuxi's exhibitions and proposed five key measures to better promote the development of Wuxi as an exhibition destination: expanding openness, prioritizing industrial demand, providing professional services, practicing strategic action and inaction, and adhering to high quality and integrated development.
