On December 26, 2019, the Shanghai Exhibition and Convention Industry Association held its fifth session of the third board meeting and the fifth session of the second general assembly at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center. Representatives from relevant government departments, including the Shanghai Bureau of Commerce, the Shanghai Exhibition and Convention Industry Promotion Center, and the Shanghai Research Center for Commerce, as well as the Pudong New Area Council for Promotion of International Trade, were invited to attend.This meeting was chaired by Association Secretary-General, Mr. Zhu Jianqing.

412 member companies participated in this event.The Executive Committee and General Assembly reviewed and approved the work report of the Shanghai Exhibition and Convention Industry Association. Six member organizations, including Green Land Hotel Tourism Management Group, were added to the fifth Executive Committee of the Shanghai Exhibition and Convention Industry Association. The meeting also included a report on membership changes, including new and departing members, following the association's recent elections.
Subsequently, the conference will enter the reporting and deliberation phase. Association Chairman, Mr. Kang Jingmin, will present the association's work report, detailing the achievements of 2019, which primarily include:

Secondly, successfully organized the 2019 Sixth International Convention and Exhibition Industry CEO Summit in Shanghai.Approximately 300 prominent entrepreneurs, international organizations, and government business department heads from 13 countries and regions participated in the event. 32 different exchange activities were held, facilitating the sharing of experiences and insights into future trends.
Third, to effectively fulfill its responsibilities and provide comprehensive member services.- If continuing to host salon events;Enhanced promotion of member organizations, with approximately 20 member organizations contributing content and distributing it through the association's official WeChat channel.Regarding training for exhibition and convention professionals, 104 individuals registered for the "Exhibition Management (Intermediate Level) Certification Training Course" this year. 93 participants successfully passed the certification examination and received the "Shanghai Exhibition Management Professional Technical Level Certification (Intermediate Level)" certificate.Additionally, 11 introductory-level "Exhibition Management (Beginner)" instructor certification courses were offered, with 180 instructors from planning departments across the country completing the courses and receiving certificates of completion issued by the association.This year, the association, with the support of the Municipal Administration for Foreign Affairs and the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, applied for the "Shanghai Municipal Social Organization International Exchange Project.""Mr. Kang Ming, President of the Association, delivered the keynote speech, titled "The Future of Shanghai's Exhibition Industry," during the annual conference's Xchang segment. This presentation attracted industry professionals from around the world, including those from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States, who attended to listen.
Fourth, revise the detailed regulations for the qualification of exhibition and convention project enterprises, to adapt to the development of businesses.The Exhibition Engineering Qualification Assessment Committee has revised the "Exhibition Engineering Qualification Assessment Rules."In 2019, a total of 48 companies successfully completed the initial evaluation, and 11 companies successfully completed the subsequent evaluation.As of the end of 2019, there were 75, 35, and 59 companies holding Level 1, 2, and 3 exhibition project qualification, respectively, totaling 169 companies.
Five: Act as effective support for government initiatives, promoting the establishment of a rule-of-law environment for the Shanghai exhibition industry.The association actively cooperated with the Municipal Commerce Bureau to conduct research on exhibition and convention legislation. It organized multiple roundtable discussions involving major exhibition and convention enterprises and related enterprises within the supply chain, providing feedback and recommendations on the draft "Regulations on the Exhibition Industry in Shanghai."Additionally, facilitate participation of key enterprises in meetings organized by the Municipal Commerce Committee's Exhibition Affairs Department with the National People's Congress (NPC) Finance and Law Commission and the NPC Law Commission's "Regulations" forum....and to organize a seminar on the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta convention industry.

Two. Requires meticulous planning and branding to establish the "CEO Shanghai Summit" as a premier event.The association will meticulously organize and creatively design a roundtable consultation meeting, facilitated by the Shanghai Municipal Commerce Bureau, bringing together international advisors. This meeting will focus on developing a strategic plan for the Shanghai exhibition and convention industry over the next five years, aiming to elevate the industry to a new level and further enhance its international influence.
Third, leverage the advantages of the Changjiang Delta Regional Planning to promote collaborative development.The association intends to invite representatives from the exhibition and convention industry associations of three provinces and one municipality, as well as relevant municipal exhibition and convention industry associations, to convene a Longjiang Exhibition Alliance meeting. The purpose of the meeting will be to reach consensus on key areas such as information dissemination, member communication, project collaboration, and talent training, and to sign a strategic cooperation framework agreement.Continue to support the "Creative Exhibition Special Committee" in organizing the third "Yangtze River Delta Creative Exhibition Theme Forum."
Four: Strengthen standardization efforts to promote industry development.In 2020, the Association will undertake, on behalf of the Ministry of Commerce, the task of developing local standards for "Exhibition Project Level Assessment."Additionally, we will develop group standards for green exhibitions, promoting energy efficiency and environmental protection throughout the industry and implementing sustainable exhibition practices....and to strengthen team building, enhance the role of core members, and provide support to service personnel.
The work report will be submitted to the membership assembly for review and approval.
Vice President, Wang Mingliang, Founder and Executive Director of Shanghai Bohua International Exhibition Co., Ltd., presents recommendations regarding board member changes.
Vice President Zhang Yao, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Xin International Exhibition Center Co., Ltd., reported on the association's membership changes following the recent election.
"This event also included an awards ceremony."The Association's Party Committee Secretary, Chen Jianxin, the Director of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce's Exhibition Affairs Department, Li Lei, and the Association's Chairman, Sang Jingmin, presented honorary certificates to ten leading exhibition and trade show organizers (hosts), twenty leading exhibition and trade show construction companies, four major exhibition venues, outstanding Communist Party members, outstanding Party affairs workers, friends of Party building, and exemplary employees.

As the industry regulatory body, the Municipal Commerce Bureau will continue to support the development of trade association, promote industry growth, and enhance their role in industry management and international cooperation, thereby serving member enterprises and ensuring their stable and healthy development.

The Central Economic Work Conference emphasizes the need to maintain stability while pursuing progress as the overarching work principle.We encourage members to stay informed about national development and the progress of their respective industries.We encourage all member organizations to adopt a forward-thinking and strategic approach, seizing opportunities for growth and development.
Three. The Shanghai Exhibition and Convention Industry Regulations are expected to be promulgated and implemented in March of next year.This regulation not only promotes, but also establishes management and oversight mechanisms.We should focus on the business environment for trade shows in Shanghai following the relevant regulations, including the legal environment, government environment, market environment, ecological environment, and human environment.Focus on the spillover effects of the exhibition and convention industry."Shanghai's exhibition and convention professionals should carefully study these issues to deliver a satisfactory response to the construction of Shanghai as an international exhibition and convention center, and to maintain Shanghai's leading position in the national exhibition and convention industry."
During the event, all members of the Shanghai Exhibition Industry Association Party Committee's grassroots organizations, under the leadership of Secretary Chen Xian, recited the Party Pledge.
The final session of the conference concluded with a performance of "My Country and I," sung by all attendees.Participants expressed great enthusiasm, and the meeting atmosphere was vibrant. The conference successfully completed all planned activities.
