On the afternoon of September 18, the 30th Exhibition Salon, themed Serving the CIIE with Full Commitment and Taking on Responsibilities for New Achievements, was successfully held at Hongqiao World Center. Leaders from the Office of the Urban Support Leading Group for the China International Import Expo, Director Lu Yi of the commerce commission, the operation center of the National Exhibition and Convention Center and other related departments attended the salon.
Director Lu Yi explained the international political status and characteristics of the CIIE, introduced how the CIIE was brought to Shanghai and the current progress of preparations, set requirements for the service quality of participating enterprises, and suggested that enterprises broaden their thinking while serving the CIIE well, exploring and undertaking follow-up business opportunities and spillover effects from the event.
With just over 40 days before the opening of the CIIE, preparations had entered the final sprint. On behalf of the association, President Chen put forward three requirements for member enterprises serving the CIIE: first, work backward from the deadline, conduct a full review and ensure completion; second, pursue excellence, check for omissions and ensure quality; third, consider the overall situation, follow strict standards and ensure long-term effectiveness.
In the final session of the salon, Secretary-General Ji read the initiative titled Serving the First CIIE: Exhibition Enterprises in Action. Enterprise representatives then came forward one by one to sign the initiative, expressing their determination to serve the CIIE better.
