This afternoon, the Party Committee of the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association held a working meeting for grassroots branch secretaries at the Jing'an District Party Building Service Center. Secretaries of 12 grassroots branches, branch committee members, Party Committee members and other comrades attended the meeting.
Under the leadership of Chen Xianjin, secretary of the association's Party Committee, participants listened carefully to the guide, traced the revolutionary heritage of Jing'an and experienced the red traditions inherited on this land.
Participants watched a situational documentary on revolutionary Party history titled Stay True to the Original Aspiration, Build Dreams Together, Forge Ahead Again.
Afterwards, Secretary Chen Xianjin led everyone in reviewing the oath for joining the Communist Party of China. Reviewing the oath encouraged every Party member to regulate words and actions in accordance with the Party Constitution, keep the Party's purpose firmly in mind, strengthen Party spirit, enhance the sense of historical mission and social responsibility, and become a competent and qualified Party member worthy of the title and the oath. Through the visit and study session, participants further strengthened their ideals and convictions, stayed true to the original aspiration of joining the Communist Party of China and kept the original mission of Party members in mind.
At the working meeting, the Party Committee arranged work for convening the 2020 organizational life meetings of grassroots Party organizations and carrying out democratic appraisal of Party members. It required all participants to fully understand that completing these tasks well is an important measure for deeply studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, studying and implementing the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and consolidating and deepening the achievements of the Stay True to the Original Aspiration and Keep the Mission Firmly in Mind education campaign. It is also an important part of implementing the Party Constitution, the Regulations on the Work of CPC Branches, for Trial Implementation, and the Regulations on the Education and Management of CPC Members, and of enhancing the political functions and organizational strength of grassroots Party organizations. The meeting required careful implementation of relevant notices from the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee Organization Department, with meticulous organization and solid, effective execution. Secretary Chen Xianjin asked all branch secretaries to attach great importance to the work, organize every Party member to participate in the democratic appraisal, strengthen Party member awareness and organizational consciousness, and welcome the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China through practical action.
