The Fourth Meeting of the Joint Conference of Provincial Convention and Exhibition Industry Associations Was Successfully Held
With strong support from the Nanjing Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the People's Government of Lishui District in Nanjing, and Jiangsu Baima Agricultural International Expo Center, the fourth meeting of the Joint Conference of Provincial Convention and Exhibition Industry Associations was successfully held at Baima Agricultural International Expo Center on December 9, 2020. The meeting was attended by 35 representatives of provincial joint-conference member associations from across China and 39 member-company representatives of the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association.
The meeting was chaired by Chen Xianjin, honorary president of UFI, director of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of the Exhibition Industry, and Party secretary of the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association. Yuan Zaiqing, president of the China Convention and Exhibition Society; Liang Jie, director of the Nanjing Council for the Promotion of International Trade; and Zhang Decai, deputy head of the People's Government of Lishui District, delivered remarks.
Tu Jianqing, secretary-general of the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association, shared views under the theme The Role and Responsibility of Convention and Exhibition Industry Associations During the Epidemic. Wang Qingdao, editor-in-chief of Meetings magazine, spoke on Building Meeting Destinations and Meeting Brands. Liu Songping, president of the Guangdong Exhibition Organizing Enterprises Association, spoke on How Industry Associations Seek Development in Marketization and What This Means for Exhibition Enterprises. Chen Fangxu, president of the Hainan MICE and Exhibition Industry Association, spoke on How to Make Full Use of Government Resources to Promote the Development of Associations and Enterprises. He Yue, executive president of the Sichuan Conference and Exhibition Industry Association, shared views on How Convention and Exhibition Activities Can Integrate with Industries.

In a discussion chaired by Li Yong, honorary president of the Sichuan Conference and Exhibition Industry Association, Li Baoer, vice president of the Zhejiang International Conference and Exhibition Industry Association; Li Yu, president of the Jiangxi Conference and Exhibition Industry Association; Yao Jun, executive president of the Hubei Convention and Exhibition Industry Chamber of Commerce; Pei Jianxin, general manager of Baima Agricultural International Expo Center; and the group chairman of Shanghai Valeda Audio Visual Technology Co., Ltd. discussed the theme Riding the Waves, Cooperation for Win-Win Results. They exchanged views on the current development status and trends of the exhibition industry in different regions, as well as the difficulties and pain points encountered.
The meeting also included a handover ceremony for the flag of the Joint Conference of Provincial Convention and Exhibition Industry Associations. Chen Xianjin, Party secretary of the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association, passed the flag to He Yue, executive president of the Sichuan Conference and Exhibition Industry Association.
