January14In the afternoon, representatives from the Municipal Commerce Committee's Exhibition Affairs Department, along with officials from the Municipal Convention and Exhibition Center's Customs Department, visited our association for an inspection.

"During the session, the President of our association, Mr. Sang Jingmin, provided an overview of the association's structure, membership development, and branch offices."Reported on the key activities undertaken by the association in 2019, as well as the association's work plan for 2020.Mr. Sang stated that he was grateful to Mr. Jiang Quan, Director of Customs, and his team from Shanghai Exhibition Center, for their investigation and research on behalf of Customs, which would contribute to creating a more favorable business environment for the healthy development of the Shanghai exhibition industry.In the association's recent survey, a Shanghai-based international exhibition and convention transportation company reported that Shanghai Customs provides a comprehensive and integrated service package for international exhibitions, resulting in a significant improvement in customs clearance efficiency."Staff consistently demonstrate a high level of service awareness and efficiency, with prompt and accurate information processing, rapid and accurate order fulfillment, and efficient access control."Additionally, exhibition transportation companies have proposed several suggestions, including: the possibility of adapting and promoting the CIFTIS policies to expand the event's spillover effect.Secondly, we aim to further refine and streamline procedures for registration, reporting, and inspection processes.Third, optimize the coordination of customs and inspection/quarantine procedures.Fourth: Assist businesses in improving efficiency and reducing costs.

"According to Mr. Jiang Quan, Director of Customs at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, we will strengthen our long-term collaboration with industry associations, focusing on problem-solving and continuously improving the business environment at the Shanghai Exhibition Center."Actively support the development of the exhibition and convention industry.

Finally, Li Lei, Director of the Exhibition Affairs Department of the Shanghai Municipal Commerce Commission, stated that the association should effectively leverage its role as a platform to facilitate collaboration and communication between government departments, domestic and international industry organizations, and enterprises, thereby addressing key challenges in industry development and enhancing the quality of exhibition and convention services in Shanghai.In accordance with the directives of municipal leaders, we aim to further amplify the spillover effect of the China Import and Export Fair, focusing on key priorities such as "four transformations," and organizing quarterly supporting activities related to import-themed content. This will accelerate the development of the city as an international convention and exhibition hub.
