The 2017 International Exhibition Industry CEO Shanghai Summit, jointly hosted by the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association and the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industry Promotion Center, will open grandly next Monday, June 19. Friends, are you ready?

Summit Introduction

The year 2017 is the first year of China's 13th Five-Year Plan and also the beginning year for promoting the development of the exhibition industry through State Council Document No. 15 and national top-level design. As China's economy enters the new normal and supply-side reform is explored, the development of the exhibition industry is drawing increasing attention from industry communities in China and abroad. On the one hand, the industry faces unprecedented market opportunities. Whether from government streamlining and delegation of powers, or from the vast market space and supply capacity, the industry has been given enormous room for imagination. On the other hand, after years of rapid growth alongside China's economy, China's exhibition industry, like other industries, faces a trend of transformation and upgrading. Changes in government functions, market order in the industry, capitalization and technological change brought by the rise of the internet are all opportunities and challenges that the industry must face directly.

These phenomena and trends are both distinctive to China and broadly meaningful for the global industry. As an important component of the global market, China's exhibition market and the opportunities and challenges facing its industry development are also questions that the global exhibition industry must answer. Chinese and overseas exhibition professionals need to gather shared wisdom on the platform created by the summit, express what exhibition professionals are thinking, and explore solutions for industrial upgrading.

The 2017 International Exhibition Industry CEO Shanghai Summit will be held at Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai from June 19 to 20 this year. The Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association will continue inviting well-known entrepreneurs and leaders of international associations from China and around the world. With the theme China's Exhibition Industry in 2020, the summit will discuss government transformation, capitalization and the development of consumer exhibitions.
