The 2016 Exhibition Management (Intermediate Level) Training Course has successfully concluded. For this training, the association invited five corporate executives from the exhibition industry and three university instructors to lecture the participants. Let’s take a look back at the wonderful moments from this period!
Chen Xianjin, President of the association, gave the first lecture, titled “Changes in the International Exhibition Industry Development and Shanghai’s Exhibition Industry.” Participants noted that the key takeaway from this course was gaining a comprehensive understanding of the global and Asian exhibition industries.
After the course, participants, still eager to learn more, gathered around President Chen to continue seeking insights.
Professor Wang Chunlei from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics gave a lecture on “Marketing Management.”
Instructor-student interactions took place during breaks. Participants noted that Professor Wang’s explanations were detailed and the content thorough, giving them a better understanding of online marketing techniques.
Gu Xuebin, General Manager of Aolong Information Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., lectured on “Exhibition Information Management.”
Participants made use of their break time to promptly seek advice. They noted that the course provided a wealth of internet-related information useful for their practical work.
Professor Shi Yi from Shanghai University of Applied Technology answered participants’ questions on exhibition project management. Participants noted that the course content was rich and the sharing of project tools and case studies very practical.
Lawyer Gong Lier from Shanghai Dabang Law Firm lectured on exhibition crisis management. Mr. Gong has long served as the legal advisor to the Shanghai New International Expo Center, providing legal support and services for various crisis incidents occurring at the center.
Listening to Mr. Gong’s stories was not just for entertainment. Participants were asked to identify the legal knowledge involved in each case. They noted that through explanations of various incidents, they learned many practical ways to handle real-world situations.
For the course on On-site Management and Equipment Management, Deputy General Manager Zhong Min from Shanghai Art Design Company gave the lecture. The vivid case studies presented during the course deeply captivated the participants.
For the first time, the association's training course adopted a small-group seminar-style seating arrangement, creating a relaxed teaching environment that facilitates interaction between participants and the lecturer. The photo shows a participant in the front row "interrupting freely"—such active participation was common throughout this training session and was highly commended.
In the Human Resource Management class, Fu Min, HR Director of Shanghai Sinoexpo Informa Markets International Exhibition Co., Ltd., was teaching. So much content was condensed into just four words. To learn more highlights, you are welcome to sign up for the Exhibition & Convention Management (Intermediate) training course next year.
Young man, you’re the one. Come on—answer this question. Participants indicated that the course content was very practical and useful.
Li Qiulin, a lecturer from Shanghai Institute of Technology, was teaching an English class. Participants said they gained industry-specific English knowledge (vocabulary, phrases, sentence structures, etc.) and expanded their professional vocabulary.
High-achieving participants gathered around the lecturer as she reviewed assignments. Those who are better at English than you are working even harder. Rise to the challenge! The association places great emphasis on professional training within the industry and hopes that aspiring young professionals in the MICE sector will benefit from it.
Zhong Gang, President of VNU Exhibitions Asia Co., Ltd., was teaching a course with a very long title: "Feasibility Analysis, Project Initiation, Evaluation, and Summary of Exhibition & Convention Projects." Participants remarked that the "high-end" lecturer commanded the room, delivering four sessions packed with valuable content. They found the course extremely beneficial.
Xiao Zhu, an enthusiastic question-asker. Best question of the session—it’s you!
