Training

Starting in 2016, the Shanghai Vocational Ability Examination Institute will no longer organize examinations for a number of technical level certifications, including exhibition management. To implement the spirit of the Overall Plan for Decoupling Industry Associations and Chambers of Commerce from Administrative Organs, issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council in July 2015, which calls for giving full play to the role of industry associations and chambers of commerce in formulating industry guidelines and training industry talent, and to implement the spirit of the Opinions on Further Promoting the Reform and Development of the Exhibition Industry, issued by the State Council in April 2015, which encourages industry organizations to provide personnel training and other services to enterprises, promote exhibition talent development and comprehensively improve the overall level of practitioners, the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association is organizing the 15th Exhibition Management, Intermediate Level, Certification Training Program to improve the professional capabilities of Shanghai exhibition industry personnel.

1. Eligibility

Applicants may meet any one of the following conditions:

1. Junior college graduates who have worked in this profession or a related profession for four years or more.

2. University graduates or above who have worked in this profession or a related profession for two years or more.

3. Those who have obtained the Exhibition Management, Junior Level, certificate and have worked in this industry or a related profession for three years or more.

2. Training Time, Venue and Content

1. Training time: classes begin at 9:00 a.m. on November 18, 2016. Classes will be held all day from Friday to Sunday each week, with a total of 48 class hours.

2. Training materials: a professional training textbook series jointly prepared by industry experts and East China Normal University will be used.

3. Main course modules: exhibition management theory and practice, and exhibition English.

4. Class venue: Room 301, Building 7, No. 3539 Dongfang Road, Pudong, Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association.

3. Completion Examination and Certificate

After the training, participants will take a unified completion examination. Those who pass will receive the Shanghai Exhibition Management Professional Technical Level Certification, Intermediate, certificate issued by the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association.

4. Fees

Training fee: RMB 3,000. Training examination fee: RMB 500. Total: RMB 3,500, excluding textbook fees.

5. Registration Method

Applicants should complete the registration form and provide copies of ID card and academic credentials, one one-inch ID photo and two two-inch ID photos of the same version, with the name written on the back of the photos. Training fees should be paid on site at registration.
