In 2015, Shanghai hosted 749 exhibition projects, or 851 including sub-projects, 20 fewer than the previous year. Total exhibition area reached 15.1314 million square meters, up 18.21 percent year on year. Among them, there were 259 international exhibitions, one more than the previous year, with an exhibition area of 10.6952 million square meters, up 14.98 percent year on year; and 490 domestic exhibitions, 21 fewer than the previous year, with an exhibition area of 4.4203 million square meters, up 27.11 percent year on year.
